The children at our clubs have enjoyed making some firework artwork using toilet rolls and paint. The toilet rolls were cut so the ends were able to fan out, the children then used different coloured paint to swirl and mix the paint on the paper. We think they have turned out really well.
Lakeview also had some sparklers with their children. The staff laid out hoops on the floor to make sure each child kept their distance and then the staff went around each child to assist them with their sparkler. The children enjoyed using the sparklers. They liked writing their name in the sky, drawing love hearts and helping the younger ones.
As a club they spoke about safety and holding the sparkler at arms length and everyone stood well behind the line waiting for their turn. The children particularly liked it when it got darker so our sparklers were brighter in the sky.
