A sunny afternoon at Shortstown
The children at our Shortstown club had great fun enjoying their outside area during the last week of term.
Our staff member, Sarah, put on an activity for the children at Shortstown. She decided to do a ‘Rope Walk’. Sarah placed rope all around the garden area of the Shortstown club. The children were then blindfolded and led themselves around the outside area using the rope and guiding themselves along. Sarah then decided to put little obstacles out for the children for example saying there was a puddle and splashing their legs with water. This activity is great for the children, they get to test out their other senses and is great for confidence building.
They also had lots of water fun with their tuff trays, bringing all the animals in for a swim and making lotions and potions with their mud kitchen.
