Ice Experiments and Snow Fun

The children have enjoyed their first weeks back with Dawn Until Dusk. We have had several different tasks and activities on offer for the children. One which has been a huge hit is our Ice and Snow theme week which we have been running this week.

The children have been taking part in snow and ice experiments.

They have been creating ice hands using water and gloves, adding food colouring to add a bit of colour to their hands. The children have been exploring how ice melts by freezing water and then watching how it melts and even adding some farmyard animals. They have tried chipping away at the ice to see if this helps the melting process.

At our Kings Oak club the children have made some yummy snowmen biscuits using marshmallows. They look scrummy!
